Plans & pricing
Unlimited UK calls and texts, 5G, EU roaming, WiFi Calling, Travel Safe and your choice of eSIM or physical SIM. The only difference between plans is data: 5GB, 20GB or Unlimited. 30-day rolling and £1/month to good causes.
Business and charity prices are shown ex VAT (with the inc-VAT price alongside); personal prices are shown inc VAT — what you'll actually pay. Either way, you get proper VAT invoices in your account.
Not on a schedule, and not without a fight. We never do annual price rises — no CPI letters, no April surprise. Costs do rise everywhere, and we work hard to stop them reaching your bill: negotiating with suppliers, running lean, spending almost nothing on marketing. If a price ever genuinely had to change, it would change the same for everyone — new and loyal alike — and you're on 30-day rolling, so you can always walk. What we'll never do is raise prices because the calendar says so.
Never. Everyone pays the same price — joining today or loyal for five years. Loyalty should never cost more.
Yes — registered charities, CICs and CIOs pay £1 less per SIM per month on every plan.
Yes — put each SIM on whichever plan fits. Change them as needs change.
Your data simply pauses — it never quietly runs up your bill. We'll warn you at 80% and 90%, and the moment you hit your limit you can add more or move up a plan in a couple of taps (you only pay the difference). Your bill never grows unless you choose to. No bill shocks. Ever.
Yes — tethering is included on every plan, at no extra cost.
It's for normal heavy use — stream, scroll, work, repeat. A fair-use policy keeps things sensible for everyone, but you'll never hit it in ordinary use.
Network & coverage
Kindly runs on a leading UK network — the same masts, coverage, 5G and EU roaming you'd expect from a big provider, straight out of the packet.
Yes — 5G is included on every plan at no extra cost, wherever there's 5G coverage (you'll need a 5G-capable phone).
Yes — the same network coverage, no drop in service or throttled speeds. Real coverage and 5G on a leading UK network. Check your area on our Coverage page.
Check your postcode with the coverage checker on our Coverage page — if there's coverage where you live, work and travel, you're covered.
Anywhere the network reaches, your Kindly SIM reaches — same masts, same signal. (As with every network, very remote spots and deep indoors can vary.)
Switching & keeping your number
Yes — it's your right and it's free. Text PAC to 65075; your network replies with a PAC code within a minute (valid 30 days). Add it at checkout or anytime from your account. Once your SIM's activated, you book your switch day — any Monday to Friday — and your number moves across that day, usually between 10am and 4pm.
Just start using your Kindly SIM that day — pop the physical SIM in, or switch to your eSIM. Once your number lands, your old SIM stops working and you're fully switched.
So you're never without a phone. Your Kindly SIM works on a temporary number from the moment you activate it, and your real number moves across on the switch day you pick.
No — your old SIM keeps working until switch day, and your Kindly SIM is live from activation. There may be a short window on the day as the number transfers, but you won't be cut off.
No — porting your number closes your old account automatically. (Not keeping your number? Cancel with your old provider once your Kindly SIM is live. Any early-exit terms are between you and them.)
PACs last 30 days. Text PAC to 65075 again for a fresh one — and we'll remind you before it runs out.
Yes, anytime. If you're out of contract or in your last 30 days, you can usually leave free; mid-contract there may be an early-exit fee. Text INFO to 85075 (free) and your provider will tell you your contract end date and any fee. And since Kindly is 30-day rolling, you can switch now or line it all up for the day your contract ends — no pressure either way.
Yes — you'll get a new Kindly SIM, which puts you on the latest SIM technology and keeps everything clean and simple. Keep your number by texting PAC to 65075. (Prefer a brand-new number? That works too.)
SIMs & eSIMs
Your choice, per SIM. eSIM is quicker than the post — it comes by email, usually within one working day (we set each one up by hand for now, Mon–Fri; weekend orders start Monday). Physical SIMs are posted — 2–3 days delivery (UK Mainland).
It needs to be unlocked (free to request from your current network), and for eSIM it needs eSIM support — most phones from the last few years have it; every phone takes a physical SIM.
By email, usually within one working day. Treat the QR code like a key — it's unique to you, so don't share it.
Physical — just pop it in. eSIM — request a re-issue from your account and scan the new QR (eSIMs are tied to a device). An account admin with 2FA confirms the change, for your security.
Yes, and it's quick — it's a SIM swap, not a port, so you keep your number (usually done within an hour or two). When the physical SIM's in your hand, enter its SIM number in your account to activate it.
Tell us straight away and we'll bar the SIM. Replacements keep your number and plan — we'll verify it's you first.
Your account & security
In your Kindly account: download VAT invoices, check usage and your giving, change plans, request new SIMs and replacements, book number ports. Some things are instant; anything we process for you shows a clear status until it's done.
Upgrades happen straight away (a fair pro-rata charge for the rest of the period). Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current 30-day period.
Yes — add people directly or by email invite. Two levels at launch: Admin (full control) and Viewer (see everything, change nothing). More roles will follow.
Yes. Two-factor authentication for admins (authenticator app or SMS), and extra checks on sensitive actions — SIM swaps, bank details, adding users — so a stray logged-in screen can't be used against you.
Reset it from the sign-in page — verify it's you, set a new one, done. With 2FA on, your account stays safe even if a password slips out.
Payments & billing
Monthly by Direct Debit. Your first payment is taken instantly by secure bank transfer when you order, so we can get your SIMs moving straight away — Direct Debit takes over from there.
When you activate. Tap Activate SIM in your account when your SIM arrives and your plan (and your £1 a month) starts then — or it starts automatically 7 days after dispatch. Either way, you're never paying for a SIM that's still in the post, and we'll always tell you your start date up front and remind you before it begins.
Tell us before your billing start date and we'll pause everything and sort it — you won't be charged for a SIM you never received. (Just don't leave it: if we don't hear from you, billing starts as scheduled.)
Every 30 days, in advance, on your billing date. VAT invoices appear in your account automatically.
Completely — it's covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee: if the wrong amount were ever taken, your bank refunds you in full, immediately. We use bank-grade payment systems and never see or store your full bank details.
Don't worry — it's usually just timing. We'll let you know, and the payment retries automatically on a day it's more likely to clear; nothing for you to do unless we say so. If it still won't collect, we'll send an easy way to sort it — and only as a last resort, after plenty of warning, would a SIM be paused. Clearing the balance puts everything back to normal.
Yes — if we need you to, you'll get a secure "pay now" link to settle it instantly from your bank, and you can update your payment details anytime in your account. (If we're already retrying automatically, we'll say so — no need to pay twice.)
Plans run to the end of the period you've paid for, so in normal use there's nothing to refund. If something's gone wrong on our side, talk to us and we'll put it right.
Giving & SIMs for Good
£1 from every active, paid business and personal SIM goes to good causes every month — built into the price, no extra cost, no forms. The money goes to good causes across the UK — anything from a local sports club or theatre group to a national charity, and everything in between. As Kindly grows we're building the Kindly Fund, so causes can apply for funding directly and customers help decide. Every penny is tracked and published.
Charity plans are discounted by £1 instead — our way of giving to charities directly. The monthly donations come from business and personal SIMs.
How charities raise recurring income through Kindly: register, share your link, and when a supporter joins through it, the £1 their SIM gives each month goes to your cause. It's the same £1 every SIM gives — directed to you. Free for charities and supporters; register interest at /sims-for-good.
Not yet — at launch, Kindly chooses the causes. Choosing your own is coming with SIMs for Good.
Charities see supporter numbers and totals raised — individual supporter details stay private.
Roaming & travel
No — included on every plan, from your normal allowance. Fair use applies, EU cap 25GB.
Travel Safe is built into every SIM: £7.50 +VAT per day, per SIM, only on days you use it — 500MB, 200 minutes, 100 texts, worldwide, with a hard stop so your bill can't run away. We warn you before the first charge each day.
No — it's a safety net, not your main data. 500MB goes quickly; it's there to stop a catastrophic bill and buy you time to set up a travel eSIM. For a real trip, see our recommended setup on the Roaming page.
Honestly? Turn off data roaming for your Kindly SIM in your phone's settings and use a travel eSIM for the country you're visiting. Your number stays live for calls and texts, and you're charged nothing on your Kindly SIM — Travel Safe stays as your backstop if you forget.
It's always there as your safety net — but you're in control: switch off data roaming for your Kindly SIM in your phone's settings and you won't be charged anything at all.
It's a setting on your phone, not something we control — usually under mobile/cellular data settings, look for "Data Roaming". Switch it off for your Kindly SIM and it won't use data abroad. Your travel eSIM, if you're using one, isn't affected.
Yes — worldwide really does mean everywhere, including cruise ships and in-flight, some of the priciest places to get caught out.
Leaving Kindly
We'll be sad, but it's easy and free: text PAC to 65075 to take your number with you, or STAC to 75075 to leave without it, and give the code to your new provider. Your plan runs to the end of its current 30-day period. No exit fees, no hard feelings.
